This course will teach Engage 7 System Administrators how to administer and maintain the Engage system on a daily basis. Topics include managing users and groups in the Admin Console, understanding policies and permissions, and how to troubleshoot using the audit log.

• Navigating and working with the Web Console
• Creating and managing users and groups
• Creating facilities, departments, rooms and beds
• Managing an Active Directory connection
• Using the Audit Log and Message Tracking Workflow
• Using Engage Rules to configure message delivery

The Engage Rules application allows system administrators to easily understand, configure, and manage configure notification delivery on Vocera Platform 6 or Engage 7. In this course, learners will explore the Vocera Engage Rules web interface, and learn how data is ingested, stored, and ultimately acted upon by Engage Rules.

• Describe how to create and edit definitions to identify incoming events
• Use definitions to configure rules that will manage delivery and escalation on events received by Platform or Engage
• Customize the information delivered to end users by Platform or Engage
• Describe why and how to split delivery locations in a rule

This course is designed to provide Vocera Platform 6 System Administrators and their Backup administrators with the tools and confidence to ensure successful maintenance of the Platform and maximize the benefits of the Vocera solution. In this live course, the instructor will demonstrate how to navigate the Web Console, how to manage your organization’s users and devices, and describe basic communication workflow.

Participants learn to set up System and Group Device Managers, receive instruction on using the manage devices section of the Platform admin console to set device properties, and receive tips on efficient management of Vocera assets.

·      Use CSV files to capture device information
·      Use the device status monitor to take inventory

This course unlocks the power of Vocera groups, call flows, and permissions. The course enables students to build skills in designing and optimizing Vocera databases to meet the unique needs of their organization.

·      Add, edit, and delete groups in Vocera Platform
·      Distinguish between departments, subdepartments, and ordinary groups
·      Design call flow for Voice groups with scheduling and forwarding settings
·      Assign permissions to groups

This course requires foundational knowledge gained through the completion of Platform 6 Basic System Administration. Please attend and complete a Platform 6 Basic System Administration session before registering for the Platform 6 Intermediate System Administration course.

Vocera Platform 6 Staff Assignment

Staff Assignment for Platform 6 enables nursing leaders and unit coordinators to quickly assign staff to role-based groups, such as room groups and charge nurse groups, which can then be used as recipients for notifications received from integrated systems. Assignments can be made manually in the Platform Web Console, or they can be synchronized from a 3rd party system (if configured). In this course, participants learn how to create or expand facilities to configure and use Platform Staff Assignment.

In this course, participants learn how to setup and maintain the Vocera Messaging Platform (VMP). Students will be provided hands-on training for an interactive learning experience.

• Creating Alerts, Alert templates, and Chat sessions in VMP Administrator
• Working with the VMP Enterprise Manager and VMP Administrator
• Synchronizing with Active Directory users and contacts
• User rights, console and device access
• Creating and using On-Call and Escalation Distribution Lists

This course covers the tools, tips, and best practices of troubleshooting and improving speech recognition accuracy to reduce dissatisfaction and increase user adoption.

Vocera Staff Assignment for Voice Server 5 enables nursing leaders and unit coordinators to quickly assign staff to role-based groups, such as room groups and charge nurse groups. In this hands-on course, participants learn the how to configure and use Vocera Staff Assignment for Voice Server 5.

This is an accelerated version of the Voice 5 course for system administrators. Delivered over two days, this course totals four hours in length. Participants receive a comprehensive overview of the Vocera Platform 5 solution, including the system architecture and its key features, with details on how to administer, maintain, and optimize the Vocera System for maximum results.
